Ghent is growing!
A completely new city district that offers a whole range of opportunities for working, living and leisure has been created. A city within a city located in a leisure environment, which has a dynamic events-oriented atmosphere and offers extensive shopping opportunities.
This new city district has been named ‘Ghent The Loop’. This name symbolizes the link between the new site and the city of Ghent and accentuates the fact that this is a high-quality new city district with a strong identity. The old “Expo” site is also included in the modern urbanisation of the city of Ghent.
‘Ghent The Loop’ will be an international concentration of leisure, retail, exhibition and professional activities in a high-quality, dynamic and stimulating environment with plenty of room for residential accommodation and nature.
The ‘Ghent The Loop’ development is a Public Private Partnership where different partners have set up a joint venture in order to give the development of the ‘Ghent The Loop’ project optimal support and to ensure its quality and comprehensiveness. |
